Hi just started putting the heli back together after a crash.Noticed that the esc is getting very hot.Also noticed that a servo aint working,could this cause the esc to get hot,or is the esc just ready to pack in?

Could well be loading the BEC on the speed controller.
It will get warm anyway even just sat still with the power on.
Unplug the servo - any better ?
