  • upgrading from dx6i to dx7

hi all ive just purchased a dx7 now my question is do i just put in all the settings from my dx6i straight in the dx7 and off i go or is it going to be a total setup from scratch ...iam running a flybarless 3g system and at the moment its running sweet iam just frightened of messing it all up on the dx7

I'm no expert but Personally I'd setup from scratch as it'll get you used to the radio as you do it
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

Having taken the same DX6i to DX7 route, although not FBL, my T-rex 500 needed to be a complete set-up from scratch.

Having ported across the settings from one to the other as a starting point, the settings were not even close.

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

I hear the same answer whenever someone asks a similar question to the OP.

Hey, gives you a chance to get to know the DX7!

The menus in the DX7 are somewhat different from those on the 6i but they soon become second nature.

Well iam happy to report all went a whole lot better than I thought and after about half hour of looking around the dx7 menus I found the layout better I realy like this transmitter and the fbl trex was set up and flying in no time at all and as was mentioned earlier you just can't drop your settings in from a dx6i nothing is even close to working but was not realy much hassle at all
              Happy days
