  • First hover in the wind

Well just had my first hover in windy conditions,What an experience. My whole body is still shaking ,can hardly type.

Even manged to control the heli when I ran into a slight problem,Heli had a fight with the wind, brought it back and landed nice and soft.

Think the next time I go out I might take the training gear off.
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

Good stuff fella! I didnt like flying in the wind at first then it was windy for about 6 weekends in a row and went every time then when there was no wind it makes you fly so much better!

        Happy flying dude!

congrats...remember my first wind flight - heli was just cutting/leaning into the wind to keep it hovering. Get the gear off

Sunday I was doing some stall turns, which I have not been doing for long, and I started trembling even my hands were shaking, I landed ok, I am amazed it has this affect on me.

well done mate, tonight is by far the windyest conditions I have flown in, I have flown in wind before but nothin as strong as tonight, was a thrill!!!! get the gear off mate, heli will be so much more stable without it,

Saturday it was very gusty and I had one of my biggest helis, the Century Predator and even it was getting thrown around a bit when trying to hover and land.

Sometimes if it's really gusting and making if difficult to control the height I'll just hover until it calms down before trying to land (assuming that it seems like it might slack up soonish, otherwise it's just a matter of setting it down as gently as possible and hope for the best).

lol, i kept doing that earlier, although everytime i started to get close to land there was a gust which took me back up again, was good experience really, as i would deffinately now, fly in it again
