help with spinninning out

bought a honeybee king to day second hand and ready to fly it was lifting as i was trying to hover untill i thought i would mess around with it like you do when your a silly beginner
i checked the pitch link bars and thought one was longer than the other so i adjusted one a few turns to make it the same as the other then went out to use the heli again and as soon as it starts to lift now the heli just starts spinning round and round
is this because ive messed about with the pitch or is it some thing else
i have a pitch guage coming on monday so if its that hopefully i can set it right then

check the gain on your gyro? and if its got norm or rev setting try flicking it over hope one or t other works for ya,,
