  • Twister v2 help

I have been trying to fly my Twister V2 since February with some success and some crashes, however my Heli seems to be flying oddly. Upto about 2 feet it flys fine but after that the nose suddenly goes to the left and does not seem to respond. I am wondering if I have either damaged the 4in1 mixer or something else.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

If it is fine up to around 2 foot it sounds like possibly a power issue of some sort. When you are up at the magic 2 foot, do you have the throttle stick right at the top?

If the answer is yes, then I suspect the battery, or maybe motor are not running at full capacity, as they dont seem to have the grunt to lift the model.

When you charge the battery, what sort of charger are you using and how long does it take to charge?

    Cheers,
    Pete.

If the nose it going left you need more power in the tail motor to stop this action. Looks like you have no more power to give so could be the battery or the tail motor is worn out. They don't last that long as they are pushed rather hard on the 3 cell Li-Po. I would not think it is the 4 in 1 and after making sure the battery is Ok ( will it do this after the battery has just come off of charge) change the tail motor as it is a cheaper option !!

Thanks for your replies, sorry that I have left it so long to reply but I have had to go away for a few days.
I have tried different batteries but it does not make a difference and when the nose goes to the left even if I put the throttle stick all the way to the right the heli does not respond.
        Regards.

So... if you keep below 2 feet it is Ok? where in the TX rudder trim, is it all the way to one side? If so adjust the setting on the 4 in 1 (not the gain trim)to make it center, remember to remove battery and re connect after every adjustment.

When under 2 feet can you then turn the heli to the left and right Ok? If so I would change the tail motor first as these are only about £7 or cheaper via web. They don't last long I have had about 5 on mine in first 12 months of use but don't fly that heli much nowdays. If not that maybe the 4 in 1 but I must say they most often burn up so you get no tail or no main motor power, just smoke !!

            Martin,
The rudder trim seems to be mostly to the right, if I adjust 4 in 1 to centre it stills goes to the left above about 2 feet. It seems to fly ok below that.

If it is a Twister CPV2 from a LHS try asking them, if not, new tail motor and fingers crossed. Are you using the stock Tx or moved to another one? The higher you go above 2 feet the nose starts to swing left or just jumps round?

              Still say tail motor !

                Martin,
Its just a V2 and the CP I think I will try a different tail motor. Thanks for your advice.
                Regards.
