  • What esc for flasher450pe

Hi,Does anyone know exactly what esc comes with the flasher450pe.I was told I would have to calibrate the esc with my tx.
I got the instuctions in the form of a cd,but it doesn't tell which manufacturer all it has is the specs of the esc,no instruction about calibration.

Any help With calibration would be appreciated.
    thanks
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

No no Set brake to OFF if you have it on and the motor cuts out for some reason it will kill the headspped in 2 seconds flat and you wont stand a chance of getting down safely! Basically it will auto better if its off and its easier on the power system.

Cut off to mid or low (i use low but you must time the flights and not over discharge the pack)

Soft or supersoft start perferably the later, HW esc are known for harsh start ups even on super soft so go easy on the spool up!

        Timing you want middle

And dont rely on auto detect for the cell count set it manually to 3cell

Now that I know what settings to use,Thought I'd ask this Question. It says in the instructions

          1.Enter program mode

1)Switch on transmitter, move throttle stick to top, connect the battery pack to the ESC
2)wait for 2 seconds, the motor should emit special tone "beep-beep"

The quiestion is,won't the motor start up if I have the transmitter stick at top?.Is this a misprint and should the stick be at bottom?

Don't want to be losing any body parrt when I try to set the esc up
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

The motor will not start when the throttle is at any position other than zero when the ESC is powered up. It's a safety feature.

            1. Turn on the transmitter and move the throttle stick to the top.
            2. Then connect the battery.

further more after calibration should you plug in and throttle is not closed properly you will just get a series of beeps to warn you.

If you have the stock Flasher Radio?
I'd suggest when calibrating have your throttle trim and centre, that way if you plug in and get the beeps to say the throttle is open you can lower the trim, As the resolution on the flasher radio is not very good it sometime "sees" it as open when you think it is closed.

I have dx6i so should I leave throttle trim at bottom

The only bad question is the one you don't ask

Better to be safe than chopped up
Remove the rotor blades to be even safer and not chopped up
