  • first flight and no crash

Hi,just thought I'd post an update of my progress. After buying the cp gold and crashing it a lot decided to make it redundant.Bought a flasher 450 set it up with alot of help (form asid).Took it out this morning and had my first proper hover.Probably one off the best investments I've made Because, although the haver was only 2mins and two foot of the ground there was now tail movement and it was stable apart from the tail being a little heavy.Wish I had started with the bigger heli. And wish I had asid thr year ago.

    Big thanks to acid

Now I just need to invest in some spare batteries and a little practice,i'll be flying inverted in no time.

    Cheers

    Jim
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

    Well done!

It's a great feeling. I'm going to try and spend the next couple of weeks getting some good practice in. 6 Lipos, two chargers, loads of spares.

    Let's get it happening!

I didn't buy any spares because I bought spares with the cp gold and it made me feel as if it didn't matter if I crashed. The way I see it if I have no spares I had better concentrate harder.Do need a couple of lipos though its no good having to wait on one lipo charging. What lipos should i buy?

Really don't think you should be taking acid whilst flying helis, could be very dangerous.

Well done your 1st flight, my 1st ended with the Heli doing the chicken dance across the floor.

Get your self some hobbyking batts, top quality

Got 10 of them and all still in great shape, some after 30+ flights.....

Don't need to get expensive Lipos - that's for sure. As long as you are confident soldering on the appropriate connectors. The Lipos I got for my Blade were £22 each, with a couple of quid for each set of connectors rather than the £45 for the "proper" E-Flight ones. I think they were 2200's and (sorry they're packed away now) red in colour.

No they don't - 2100 or 2200 will be fine. As long as they are roughly the same size and weight.

Ha - it's not hard. If I can do it you certainly can. Just be patient when you do it and remember soldering irons are HOT! Useful if you can get someone to help with it as you really need three hands!
