  • Battery voltage checker

    Hi,I bought a rc heli tool kit from fast lads the other day and there was a battery voltage checker included,so I put it on my battery and three green lights came on.This means the battery is saturated what does this mean?
    In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

      Thanks for the very useful reply.
      Can someone tell me if being saturated is a good or bad thing?
      In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

            It sounds like , if anything it is slightly overcharged Jim . But i've never heard that saying before mate . Rob .

              Sounds like it lost something in the translation. Green light means fully charged and ok to fly. Just be aware though that Nicads run down quickly in heli radios. Most of us use lipo with a regulator for radio power.
              Hope this helps

                Saturated=Fully Charge (Soaked)
                Normal=Still good for flight (Wet)
                Low= Land (Damp)
                Under Volt=Don't fly (Arid)

                A word of caution, simple voltage checkers, which this sounds like, do not put any load on the battery, therefore to get a much more accurate indication, switch the Tx and model on, and twiddle the sticks, thus loading up the battery with servo usage, then note the lights.

                Why does it always persist down at weekends ?
