Well, almost a gallon into my Model Heli flying career and I'm loving every minute.
I can hover tail in fairly proficiently now, and can do small circuits all tail in.
I'm progressing onto hovering sideways on and its proving tricky
I'm finding it easier to hover facing to the right than to the left. Just gotta master these and nose in, then I think i can remove the training wheels!
I don't know why I didn't take this hobby up sooner, so much more rewarding than any buggy I've owned. Everyone who I've come into contact with associated with helis is so helpful, which makes a difference. The guys at my local field have helped endlessly with tail settings and Tx set up, one guy didn't fly at all all day, and just concentrated on getting me to hover for 5 minutes, awesome!
I'm stuck at work for a week so have almost run out of fuel practising, just wish the wind would bugger off for a change, never flown in anything less than a gale
............and the Quick UK anodised stuff looks nice!
