I've decided to invest in some proper heli tools,What tools should I buy.I've been using a stupid allen key for most of my repairs but finding it hard to undo the tighter screws. The only other thing I have is a pitch guage.
Also where can I find some flasher 450 Ball link as I've accidentally snapped one?I've looked on fastlads website But dont know which ones to buy.
    Cheers
    Jim
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

Would highly recommend a set of decent hex tools like the Align hex set.

I've used these for four builds, and subsequent repairs, and they are still going strong.
        Martin

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

I got one of these as a starter heli toolkit :-
Al's Hobbies - Helicopter Precision Tool Set
I hot-glued a spirit level vial on the top of the pitch gauge and hold one of these
          http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/main-d...irit-cube.html
against the flybar (the slot for the camera hotshoe fits the flybar nicely). When both levels are, ermm, level I know the gauge is spot on.

Apart from that though, isn't buying tools you don't really need, but just possibly might do someday, just part of being a bloke?

Nowhere near as ridiculous as women and shoes ....

I've found a way to halt reckless heli spending ... Go Broke.

Yep, get two sets of these and you'll be set for life . Makes repairing your helicopter fun compared to those nasty L shaped ones.

As for levelling the swash, eye ball method is not good in my experience, I found the best way is with of course a swash plate leveller for your size helicopter. These work great provided you get a good quality one.

2nd best would have to be the cable tieing a L shaped hex to the main shaft.

3rd best would be using a cable tie around the main shaft, you can do this with the head on luckily.
