  • B400 or flasher450

Can someone please advise me on what to buy as i cant make my mind up.I've read lots of reviews about the b400 and they all seem quite positive, havent heard much about the flasher450 but from what I've been reading everyone says the bigger the heli the more stable they are,is this right?.I'll be buying one of these in the next couple of weeks, just trying to get as much info as possible before I buy.Cheers.
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

Hmm both are good helis but I would go with the Flasher 450 as its based on Trex 450 it has less of a sloppy head due to the metal head.

As for size the Blade 400 in bigger by one inch and both use 425 main blades. I fly a Blade 400 and love it.

If your spending over 200.00 i would look for a second hand trex 450 sev2.

Put a post in the wanted section here ..Im sure someone will have one for sale...the all you need is a Dx6i and your away...

If not and you want to go for something new go the Trex 450 sport...

Was looking at this deal for the flasher450 (Flasher 450 PE ARTF or RTF 2 4G in case T-rex 450s comparable)

Then all I'd need to buy is the dx6.

I have got a flasher 500 and its fine no issues at all, the 450 will do you a little better than the blade and will be easier to upgrade, you can use flasher spares or align spare dependent on budget.

                      I run a dx6i on both my 500 and 450.

From personal experience, I would go with the Blade 400, but as I say that is only personal experience. Parts availability for either should also be your consideration, you will crash it and you will repair it, fact!!

I might be willing to part with mine, which has some CNC upgrades on it, upgraded tail servo etc, plus a host of spares and parts. PM me if you are interested.

I can't speak for the Flasher kits, but if you are looing for a 400/450, whilst some may say the TREX rules, your parts costs will be higher whilst you are crashing it regularly, and the Blade is a great heli once you set it up properly.

Whatever you choose, have fun, stick with it, oh and it will become addictive!!!

                        Just my opinion.

I have flown many blade 400's and set up many in my time....up to you really but a trex 450 with a metal head and tail and some good servos will be nicer to fly anytime...

I have owned a few blade 400's in my time,a great heli and will serve you well...also the spares are cheap...

But saying this the trex 450 are not really that more expensive in spares...

                          It really swings and roundabouts....

                          I hope this helps...

Nope, I have a trex tail boom and belt that I was going to use on my blade 400/450 conversion after I decked it but the both the boom and belt where shorter by one inch than the Blade 400 boom and belt. So I left the Blade boom and belt on.

Don't the Main Rotor and Tail Rotor discs get awfully close with 425mm bades swinging over the normal length tail boom?
