  • Hello world!!

im completely new to the wonderful world of rc . . . stuff

ive just purchased an ikarus piccolo pro from ebay. (i think it usually comes in a kit but mine was ready made, obviously from the guy who bought the kit)

ive also purchased a hitec laser 4, which as far as i know is a 4 channel transmitter (which also came with lots of strange wires and some little things that i think may be a reciever and 3 servo's but i dont have a clue)

i plug the flight battery into the piccolo pro and a red light on the 'picoboard' flashes and then stops after about 4 flashes and my transmitter doesnt do a thing

as you can tell im not actually competant in the slightest which i realised within a small amount of seconds when i bought the helicopter

however im pretty up for gettin it working and im hoping some cool guys like you will help me out!!

what hell am i doing and what are all these things that ive bought . . .

    cheers!!

    Welcome to the forum m8

Unfortunately I haven't got a clue about your heli or your transmitter. Sorry
Hopefully somebody will come along that does.

If all else fails, put it back on ebay then come back here for some sound advice on what you should buy to get you going successfully

Its been years since I have seen or flown a Piccolo heli, I test flew a mates many years ago for him to attempt to set it up so he could learn with it

i would say (based on my experience of them) that you should pass it on an consider something more recent that will be more stable and thus a far more pleasant introduction to the world of RC helis.
