    Good Luck !

I'm sure you'll do fine, just keep it level, gentle small control inputs. Once properly trimmed a Raptor 30/50/60/90 will pretty much just hang there in a hover on it's own (well for a few seconds anyway).

Well done for going for it, as suggested take your time. If you've set your raptor for beginner flying them she is pretty tame just make small controlled stick movements but you on a buddy box so enjoy.

            first flight

I bet you cant wait till tomorrow mate......

My first few flights where both awsome and scary in equal measures.... I had probably an hour on phoenix then straight in. As the guys said i just took it nice and easy and didnt expect to achieve much and had fun.. Ive been into it ever since with this being my 5th month im now enjoying little controlled hovers and working on keeping her in the air for longer.... All the best with it all...... Its great fun mate...!

                  hi mate

film it if you have chance, i have been following bladstrikers progress from the videos he has been posting and hes a bit of an inspiration to me...

its good to see how people are progressing, perhaps we could have a thread on the forum where people could list their progress. and the posts could be updated exactly like bladestriker has done with his.

i have only been flying a month and im about to start a thread, its coming along nicely now, thanks to massive amount of time i spend on the sim. the only problem is a fly alone, im missing out on alot of banter but its the only way for me at the moment due to work commitments

keep em coming lads your keeping me going....

                  Ian

Hey Ian,glad your enjoying my progress vids,i never ask my mate to film me,he just does it on his own accord for which i am extremly grateful

Being on your own has some plus points,no pressure being one with no one to distract you,i find i try new stuff when im on my own too

Good luck with your flying and more importantly, have fun

                            first flight

                            Id second that Nick...,

Ive had some of my best hovers so far when on my own and without an audience... Which is sad in a way cos you want to share your moment but i think your right theres no pressure flying solo. The guy who has helped me has been brilliantfor advice and setup help but he flys full hardcore 3D and i feel a little daft taking all my time trying to hover for more than 10 seconds. He flys mine pretty much hands off the sticks which just pisxxs me off even more but does show it can be done..... im just sort of doing it thats all.

                            I did say i wanted a challenge.....???

Well, first flight never went ahead, pal of mine had to stay at work longer than expected. Didn't have the balls to take it on my own so it stayed in the spare room! I did however buy a copy of Reflex Xtr. Not as easy as some people make it look is it!!
