  • Phoenix sim and Esky TX

Hi I Have got my sim and now trying to get my E-Sky 0406A 6ch Tx to work with it, but no matter how I calibrate it I have to push hard right on the Aileron to keep it in a hover and then can only move to the left.
I have checked on the Heli Servos and it's not the TX as all is well left is left right is right.
    Any clues?

Try using one othe other 6ch tx as it seems there is only 4ch esky. you could always try switching the servo on the tx.

The helicopter is using a CCPM control system (where the servos move together to control, for example, collective pitch), whereas the sim expects non-mixed instructions (i.e. one servo channel controls collective pitch.

Some sims have a CCPM demixer (phoenix claims to have one, but I never got it to work) that do the demixing, but on most of the Esky transmitters there are switches inside the battery compartment that switch off the CCPM mixing. If you change these settings, be sure to make a note of the original settings, or your next flight with the heli will be incredibly short.

Right I'm still having problems. All the manuals I can find on the Eksy transmitter have a bank of 5 switches to set.
Mine has 2 together and 1 more on it's own further down the battery compartment.
Anybody got any clues as to which switch I need to change?

I also had a go with the Advanced de mixxer thingy and got it a bit better at flying, ( I could just about hold the Cx2 steady but again the the sticks are not central)

So is this going to be a pain in the A**e and should I just go and get a DX6i? and be done with it, is it an improvement worth having at this level?

        Any thought welcome

How to setup the ESky TWF-SZ 0406A 6CH Transmitter For Flight Simulators - HeliFreak

To answer your question though YES get the dx6i or dx7 its a massive leap and make learning so much easier, The stock esky tx is a nightmare im sure you would get much further quicker with a good radio
