Thats done it! I bought my first ever heli today from Phils Models in Sleaford.
A TT Raptor 50, bit of a tatty cab but purely cosmetic. All JR 35Mhz gear. Now to get the training wheels on and let my friend teach me to fly it!! Happy days, not that the wife thinks quite the same let the dumb questions begin!

Nice choice, i am learning with a couple of Raptors, always handy to have a spare set of blades and a feathering shaft on stock.

Enjoy and welcome to the world of RC helis!

It's a world cloaked in secrecy and intrigue. Your wife will become a heli-widow and wonder where all your money is disappearing to. She'll pretend not to notice those small packages you sneak into the house that you furtively have delivered to your workplace. Life will never be the same again...

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

Good luck with the new heli, you'll love, sometimes it may feel like your getting nowhere, but stick with it and let the good times flow

Welcome - Raptors are wonderful things. And another big thumbs-up for Phil from Phil's Models in Sleaford. He's a real gent and his prices are very competitive: certainly comparable to fast-lad. It's important to supoprt the small independant retailers at this time.

Yup, seems a real genuine guy, didn't try to sell me the most expensive thing in the shop, gave a ton of advice and yes, his prices seem very competetive! One thing for sure, I know I'll be back soon for some spares, sooner probably, rather than later! I've flown fixed wing as a youth but have mostly had buggies so all this 6 channel stuff looks nuts! The Tx looks like it could pilot the Enteprise!

Nice one... welcome to the world of RC Heli's... I am about 2 months or so ahead of you - learning on a Raptor 30. Mine is very stable, infact I got off my training gear on my 3rd outing with it. I love my flying and love my Raptor, good choice... take it steady and enjoy!!

If you can keep your head, when all others around are losing theirs - you have probably not understood the seriousness of the situation!!
