    Hi,
I'm totally new to Helicopters though not radio control as such. I would like to get into scale, Are Vario any good as a basis for starting and then scale fuselages or are they overpriced and hyped as you don't tend to see them for sale in many shops. Iv'e also considered the uni 60. Cheers lads. :?

    Matty,

I've never quite got excited about scale in so much as wanting to take it up, but I've seen a good few others that look fantastic. I did buy some bits from John White models once for a friend in the US and they seemed expensive, but quality looked good. At the end of the day you generally get what you pay for.

From what I know Vario cater to the scale as well as some novel looking heli's, but Century also cater to the scale market too. I've seen a couple of std Raptors with century scale fuse's put on them.

Check out the century site here:-

      Matty,

I've just uploaded a Century Bell 47 Scale review from the Model Helicopter Magazine. This will give an idea of thier quality and build style.
