  • Hi from Bolton.

    Hello all,

I am new too rc helis, and i have been trying to setup my heli (twister 3D storm + DX6i)....i have setup the head and servo's and i think they are setup correctly, but i cant seem to setup the gyro (HL400) i cant seem to differentiate between when its in HH mode and rate mode as the light on the gyro stays on regardless.

Also i'd be really greatful if anyone is in the bolton area who would be so kind as to assist me with the setup and take it for a flight so i know its setup correctly.

look forward to hearing the advice of the pro's

Ps here is how far i have got so far in progress....this is with full rudder trim right plus additional right rudder input.

I'm confused. I'm seeing two posts, this one that begins with:

"I am new too rc helis, and i have been trying to setup my heli (twister 3D storm + DX6i)....i have setup the head and servo's and i think they are setup correctly, but i cant seem to setup the gyro (HL400) i cant seem to differentiate between when its in HH mode and rate mode as the light on the gyro stays on regardless.

Spot the difference? One says Bolton, one say Colchester.

Maybe he lives in Bolton but works in Colchester? Not a commute I'd wanna do every day...

Welcome buddy, glad you got it sorted. The HL400 is a basic gyro. It may be better to pick up Gy401 or GP750 in the for sale selction and get a metal gear fast tail servo.

Hi guys, what keen eyes you have.....RC Rookie is my brother and he has a poor imagination, so he edited my username for himself

With regard to the post's he is useless at typing messages, he never knows what to say....i suggested he use mine as a guide..but he just used it lol.

He has been getting annoyed with him heli and was gonna shelf it, as its not good to do that, i am helping him as much as possible (to get help).

PS ask him to upload his last video to youtube and link it in his or my message.

Fair dues, and I wasn't trying to pay detective. One has to be so careful these days tho.

So do you both have identical set-ups, are was one posting asking for help on behalf of the other?
