  • The learning curve just got steeper

As I said on another thread, I had a bad attack of "want shiney thing" last Saturday and became the owner of a Walkera 4G6.

1/ this thing buggers up wooden floors quicker than anything I know

2/ I've made my first order to Chinesejade

    3/ God, this is fun

As a complete novice in real terms (the Solo Maxx and Caliber AD120 are not in the same league - I can fly them) what advice regarding initial settings do you nice chaps have?

I will follow the Radd tutorial just as soon as I have a stock of spares and extra cells.

For some reason the Solo Maxx II seems a complete lapdog now so I'll keep practising with that in the hope that it will soften my touch a little for the 4G6. The little Caliber is in the box - I can't switch it to Mode 2, and Mode 1 doesn't work well for me, I've no idea why. The instructions on Youtube showing the switching process don't work on my transmitter so I think Kyosho have locked mode 2 out, unless anyone knows different?

Thanks in advance for your advice!!

Can't help with your settings I'm afraid. Not familiar with this model.

Welcome aboard tho and have fun...

Bad form replying one's own post but I just wanted to recommend Chinesejade for Walkera spares. A nice pack of LiPo's, blades and other bits I've broken before (on my micro's) turned up this morning.

Unfortunatly a further order went in last night for a swashplate (and a bunch of other bits that I am likely to destroy). one of the ball ends broke off the plastic upper plate for one of the flybar rods.

      This IS fun!
