  • Century UK Neon Blaze Issue

    Hi Guys,

I know this is my third post, but I have just joined the club with a single rotor chopper. I have been flying my co-ax heli for some time now, and can now pick it up and fly it round the shop here. However I took the plunge earlier this week and bought myself a Neon Blaze from one of my customers. I dont really know a deal about the heli's, but I do know when the heli hops off the ground, it is constantly wanting to pull back, no matter how much forward I put on the right stick. I am led to believe this could be a gyro issue?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

I'm not sure if your transmitter has throttle hold, so if not you'll need to disconnect 2 wires from the motor before doing this.

With the heli powered up on the bench and the transmitter at midstick is the swash plate level?

      Hi Chocky,

No I dont believe the transmitter has throttle hold, and do you mean midstick on the throttle lever? Or on the right stick?

      Cheers

        On the throttle stick.
If it doesn't have throttle hold then you'll need to unplug the motor to stop it spinning up.

It sounds like either the linkage from the elevator servo to the swashplate is the wrong length, or the servo horn is a couple of teeth out on the servo itself,
in the neutral position the horns should be as close to 90' as possible, and the swashplate should remain flat and level, until the right hand stick is moved.

            Hi Guys,

Just been and checked all of the above, adjusted the servo horns, and checked it all, everything seems to be level, however on takeoff the chopper just leans back as if full reverse is held :-S

            Confused now.

do the servos all move in the same direction when you push up on the stick?

Where have you got the lipo battery placed, is the c of g (centre of gravity) balanced. If servo's are level at midstick it could be that. Also check your elevator trim see if its centred.
