Hi Folks
I'm sure this question has been asked and answered thousands of times, so I apologise in advance.
First, some background. I'm a first time poster to this forum. 6 years experience in fixed wing flying, both methanol and electric. A 'veteran' (lol) of 15+ hours on a simulator. Hovering is good and I've gotten bored and started to play around with some entry-level 3D type manoeuvres. I can produce something that resembles a tick-tock (both tail-up and tail down), tumbles, rolls, loops, stall turns etc. Of course, thats all on a sim (RF G3), where repairs are frequent and cheap
.
I've recently purchased a small electric heli (Solaris 3D from SMC, a re-named mini-pred) and I've done my first hovering. I'm now thinking about something a little bigger and am considering my step up.
So my question is, which one? Do I go for a .30 for a .50. If so, which would you recommend? I've got some standard sized digital servos lying around (futaba 3152) and a GY401 on the Solaris, so I guess I'll need a airframe, motor and some starting bits and bobs.
Your thoughts and suggestions please, kind sirs.
Regards
Andrew
