tail wag

hi just noticed that every so often i get a slight tail wag om my heli.
when it happens it is a quick wag, then settles down i am using a 401 gyro, hitec servo, any idia as to what is causing it

The 401 works best with a Futaba 9254 servo.

With other servos (including other Futaba digi tail servos) you have to fiddle about with the delay pot on the gyro to get them to work properly, and even then they're seldom perfect.

The 9254 just works straight out of the box.

Basically, it's probably your choice of servo.

there was a 9254 for sale on bmfa classifieds for £35 iirc

Could also be the engine, if it has one (i.e. is not electric).

If it's bordering in the lean/rich area an dcoming on and off the pipe, it can play havoc with gyros.
