  • So i got myself phoenix

As title says i've eventually got the time and gone out and got a copy of phoenix. Now as i'm a learner driver i only have the TX that came with my blade sr.

For the life of me i could not get my tx to perform on phoenix?!?! calibration and everything went fine the assigning of which channel does what also went fine.

But no matter what i tried when i started to try a control a heli (any heli) my throttle control just didnt input enough to get it off the floor. and my forwards and backwards stick (collective pitch?) was permanantly jammed forward however this was not having any effect on the heli ? The roll however seemed to be working fine.

Now i have found a fix for this. All i have done is selected the EFLITE CX2 TX from the list of controllers installed, However left and right roll (cyclic?) was reversed. So to unreverse it for phoenix i simply opened up the little panel on the front and flicked the little number 2 switch ( i checked which channel it was first) and all is good now ..

I just thought i'd post this here to see if anyone else has had this problem or am i just a muppet?

Plus i found a work around so to speak if anyone else is in the same boat as me well you know

guidance to get my tx setup without changing it's settings would be nice though ..

    stuart

EDIT: Sorry about my terminoligys woould appreciate it if someone could put me right on those aswell tyvm.

You can do all of your channel reversing in Phoenix so there is no need to change dip switches on the Tx

Go into system at the top of the page select your controls and click the edit button at the bottom of the popup window that appears.

Another window will open showing which transmitter channels are assigned to each function. You should also see an invert function for each setting.

Scroll down to Aeileron/cylic roll and change teh setting in the invert box.

    hopefully that should sort it.

If you cant find the control you want try clicking the detailed controls button at teh top of the window

that helped with the reversing awesome stuff. any idea as to why it does crazy things when i try to setup a custom setup for my tx. not ideal using the cx2 as it still seems to do it's own thing..

no but the thought had crossed my mind.

however i think i know what the problem is.

Upon installing a new tx it says to make sure it's in PPM mode and not PCM

so my tx is still do the CCPM mixing thing and as it's the the tx that comes with the Blade SR RTF i dont think i can change it

Edit: I just went and had a dig on the phoenix site and had a look at a list of the supported tx's and the blade sr's is listed, But does not come up on my list of standard tx's.

Cant find a manual download for it either

Looks like murph's idea is the way ahead.
