    Hi
I have a T rex 600N where I am just starting out, I am starting to build up spares not for if I crash but for when I crash . So far I have been lucky with my crashes but it will not be long now before I have a big one. The thing I am not sure of is the main frame, some people say go with standard others fiberglass and the rest with carbon ? to me which one would be the strongest for a beginner and on ?

fiberglass ones will have move give in them but if the crash is hard enough to break a frame that'll be the least of your worries, easiest thing to do is stick to what ever material your frames are currently made of

I would just stick to spares you can change out at the field + bearings for Main shaft, Clutch Stack and Main Grip brgs etc. Changing a frame takes a lot of time and by the time you repair the rest a replacement frame/s could have been delivered.

A 2nd airframe is almost as cost effective. I buy a few extras each time I shop and build up the spares slowly. Even better is doing it with a buddy as it cuts the cost to have everything on hand.

A serious spares list would be, Main Grip balls (if it has metal grips), Main Grip thrust brgs, Dampers, fly-bar, spindle, Mainshaft, Mainshaft brgs, paddles, Upper mixing arms (SF levers) Main and Auto gear, clutch shoe, U/C bows, skids, front TT gears, TT, Boom, boom stays, Tail output shaft, Tail Pitch fork, Tail slider, Tail slder control lever, tail fin, Main Blades, Tail blades.

Frames, I was using some aftermarket 2mm G10 frames on a basher that survived 3 major crashes ( inc plummiting 100 + ft twice) and a dozen or so minor ones. About £50 which includes base plate. Trouble withframes is there also sided L/R

TBH there little point in stock piling to much as you can get 99% delivered next day which is a major + point in flying Align

        Excellent words of advice.

Generally, if something breaks or becomes worn, I get 2 of them, that way I have a sensible stockpile. Things like tail rotor blades, flybars, link rods, balls and loops. Main gear, although I have not "done one" yet, landing skids, struts, spare servo for cyclic. Stuff that can be changed "in theatre".
