I don't believe it!! My trip to Waterfoot has been doomed today - the joys of having 2, 1 who is ill, toddlers!

At least I have all my kit fully sorted now, and charged! So, will defo be there next Sunday, weather permitting! Could someone please bring a joining form. My mind is made up! I was going to start my heli up, in the garden - but thought I better wait, as I have never done so before - incase I break it!

On a plus note, had a good bit of time on the sim and won an eBay auction for a CX2 with three batteries, new fuz etc.. How was your day guys? Looked good weather wise!

As I said previously, I am in Ayrshire.. abt 25 mins from the field. Does anyone go flying there on a pleasant evening?

bring your heli/toolbox and we will check it over before attempting to fly it. we usually strip the main bits off the heli to check build/loctite etc used (i don't know if you built it?)

you can join on the day no probs. there are forms in the club hut on notice board.

        cheers

I did build it.. at the start of winter. I have to admit, I bought it off of eBay.. but following advice from this forum, it was still in kit form and untouched as far as building it goes. I wouldn't buy one of these in used condition and not knowing the history - well, not with the limited knowledge I have about the heli's.

Quick ? about insurance.. I already have my SAA mambership for the year, as I fly planks at Garnock. I don't need separate insurance for the heli do I?

            excellent.

we will double check it anyway. we do this with ALL helis people bring so please don't be offended by this. it's an expensive and dangerous bit of kit so we will get it right before trying it for you. gives you a bit of peace of mind you have done the right thing.

so long as the moving bits are greased and the not meant to move bits have loctite or superglue (depending on location/material) your basically good to go bar a few checks.

i don't know what radio you have but make sure the failsafe on throttle is cut is only other thing.

            cheers
