  • Tail blade pitch slider

Is there any particular reason why it matters if the pitch slider is connected to the leading edge or the trailing edge of the tail blades?

The reason I ask is that when I set up my Dragonus previously,I adjusted the tail mechanically to give enough pitch to keep the heli straight when hovering in rate mode, but this means the pitch slider is nearer the boom than the blades.

It looks like if I connect to the trailing edge and reverse the gyro the slider will be more central.

Also, how tight should the tail blades be clamped, should they drop under their own weight or be tight enough to keep the blades in place.

I've always connected the pitch slider arms to the leading edge - i think theres probably more pressure on the leading edge of the blades so they need the most leverage there.
I have my blades so that they remain straight under their own weight, and a it more. There is quite a lot of force available to strighten the blades when they spin, so you dont have to have them really loose.
