  • Twister Medivac Bell

Got this yesterday from skyline, had great fun having my first flight (well, setup, hop and hover) in the kitchen and didnt break it all, success!

Well it ran out of battery and im eager to use it again. Ive heard bad things about overcharging these batteries etc. how long should it approximately take to charge?

About 1 hour ish,,charger supplied will automatically cut out when full,,main concern is to not run it too flat,,when flying heli you will gradually have to add more throttle to keep it hovering as power drops off,,as soon as it gets to almost needing full stick to hover,,thats your limit...

Having said that these Lipos are dirt cheap so i just abuse them

Mind you,it is technically the better halfs heli

        That soundsn rather wrong

Have you got any other chargers with a digital display?

If so charge lipo on that and see what mah it takes

I have an ongoing problem with the Perkins charger undercharging the lipo,,green light goes off after about 20 mins, heli will only fly for about 3 mins on this

If i charge it with the perkins charger until its light goes off after 20mins and then stick Lipo onto my Prodigy charger,it will take another 500mah

Both my lipos are the same so my charger is buggered, even though Perkins says its not

Took about 2.5-3 hrs to fully charge, and i managed to get a full decent no spin hover going to as long as I wanted - not bad for 2 batteries worth of flights.

Trouble is it now spins to the left unless I use about half of the counter rotation with the stick, even with the adjuster on the Tx all the way to the right. I managed to hover it like this but its a pain and is slowing me down cause I have to use a silly about of rright rotation to keep the thing from rotating.

How can I stop/adjust this? (Yes the blades do now have a few chips in them)

Make sure the rudder trim is in the middle before power up,if you power the heli up with the trim still to the right it will take that as centre position and not give you much capability to add the right trim

Its normal for the heli to left yaw a bit as power drops but the trim should deal with this,,if it does not you need to adjust the trim pot on the left hand side of the main control unit under the canopy,,im pretty sure its a anticlockwise turn to give more left authority

It does sound like the rudder trim, especially as it was fine last night, but off when I started it this afternoon.

Any ideas how I find out just what the rudder trip is?

Good news is the RRP of the blades has gone from £8.99 to £5.99 and I found that even a small ding in one does upset it a bit.

                Have fun

                Roger.

The Helicopter has gone from £119.99 to £109.99 RRP as well, strange that one of my semi local shops has got his new batch priced at £119.99 but I think its worth at least a tenner to have his advice if you have problems.

I have flown my for about twice aday for months now, and can not work out why I'm not fed up with it.
