I thought i bought aTrex 450xl with carbon frame but now I am not so sure, the head is a plastic head the same as a XL, the swash is a metal align swash plate and it looks like a trex tail. but the frame ? only 55 size servos fit and the tail servo fits in the frame not on the boom?.
if this is a copy what frame can I put on it to turn it into real Trex ?
I have tried to attach a picture but I am not sure if it will display

you cn buy trex carbon frames with all the metal pieces between them for about 85 pund lst time i looked, then you needa tail servo holderwhich is bout 10 quid tops

To turn it into a "proper" trex you would to replace virtually all of it with Align parts and thats £££ it would be cheaper to but a new kit! (Align)
Those frames are definately not trex frames, Imho youd be better getting a clone trex and start over.

+1 to Alex, definitely not T-REx frames. Perhaps a belt cp carbon??

Personally I'd try and get it running as all you look like you need is battery, servos, esc and rx. You'll need those items regardless and if you go and buy a new frame that's only going to add on top of the cost of those items.

That might be an ARK x400 carbon frame - they had the tail servo in the frame.
Count the teeth, or compare the main gear to a trex and you may well find its smaller - and thats the main hassle - getting x400 main gears to fit it.

Nods, if there is no longer any parts availability for the frame and parts you already have then you might aswell start with a Trex450 frame that you could salvage the head/shaft off the current one that you have for spares.

Performed a google image search for X400 frame and the frames that I found while not 100% identical (might of been newer frames), they did have some cutouts that bear striking resemblence to the picture that was posted.

About the rest of the helicopter. The head is a plastic XL head the rest is metal with the Align stamp on them, the tail housing is align but I not sure about the tail gearing and the speed controler is 25A Align the motor is a Align outrunner 430L. I was thinking of getting a new frame and starting from there.

Just do not know which would be the best frame that will fit Pro SE or upgrade ?
