  • Possible local flyers (newbie)

Not sure if this is the correct section but it seems the nearest to my needs.
I am a newbie to RC Heli`s and looking to get my first CP,had a contra and then a Msr so orietation is pretty ok.
I am looking at either a 450 size elec OR 50 nitro.
The main thing i would like to know is ,i am in se london edging on Bromley kent and would like to know if there are any flyers local, club OR park/private land just to see how things work.
I am a one manband.all my pals are golf freaks. There clubs some miles away in kent but they are closed for memebers etc.
Would like to get to know people in person rather than online all the time.
    Any help would be cool.

    Hi there and welcome aboard.

Take a peek on the BMFA's club finder page by clicking here. Might enable you to find a suitable local club.

      Welcome to the forum m8
I'm in South London, but as yet not a member of any clubs. However the nearest one to me is the "Croydon Airport Model Flying Club" .... Croydon Airport Model Flying Club - Home
      Might be worth a look.
You might also want to join the London flyers group here on Heliaddicts

      London Flyers

There are a few of us and we have been known to have a get together at "Old Croydon Airport" which is a public flying field

There's a club a bit to the East, I forgot what it's called but will prob remember it later.

I fly at several clubs down in Kent and Surrey. There are various parks where you can sometimes fly small electrics but lots of them ban any kind of powered aircraft.

The Croydon club has two fields they fly at and one is a public space at the old Croydon airport.
