Yeah get more space and some decent height. What heli is it. Fixed pitch will wobble around allot with ground effect. Is it a fp heli?

i should put it im my sig really but its a carbon, metal, 450 clone. gaz126 gyro,

I know it flys ok as an ex British champ has flown it at a local club 2 weeks ago.

Im just worried my finger will never keep up with the amount of correction thats needed but if it calms down as i get higher then im sure ill be ok. I just need to find somewhere to go and practice with more space.

        thanks for the input Mick

Height is your friend buddy . I find that I need to constantly give my heli a little twitc here and there to compensate for the weather and swush from the ground, only a few times have I got a perfect hover, just asking but are you over correcting.

Unless you have a very large garage I would suggest that you are making you life more difficult than it needs to be and you are risking hurting yourself. 450 sized helis have enough energy in the blades to do some damage.

To answer you question you have probably both ground effect and also general turbulence in the room.

Maybe try taking it outside, preferably on grass?

I know what your all saying i do stand out side on my drive when im trying it so im not in any danger. I cant fly the heli on the drive as its on a steep slope. But the wall come very quickly. I know i need to find some where to practice im just so inpatient tbh

It will be worth the wait when you are whizzing about on a nice big open area with no wind and the sun on your back and no garage walls to crash into!

Even the most skilled among us would struggle to fly a 450 in a garage mate.
All the ground effect, turbulence & obstructions in your peripheral vision (ie Walls) will make hovering very difficult. Plus a heli is a damn sight easier to hover at head height than knee height.
An open space will give you more opportunity to concentrate on the heli and not what is around it, plus you have plenty of opportunity to provide an escape route should you have a brain fart or mechanical problem with the heli. In a garage environment You're basically screwed & at the mercy of luck being on your side as to whether you get blinded or not.
                      Cheers,
