My helicopter is shaking really bad. I just had a crash, and changed one blade. Everything looks ok, the blades are straight, weight-bar looks ok, and the main shaft looks straight... what can it be?

The blades are matched pairs. so changing one only has probably thrown it out of balance.

only thing it can be on a medivac is the centre shaft bent(metal tube that you blade carriers are on)there are 2 on a contra heli inner and outer or make sure your blades ent to tight( have them loose so they throm themselfs out when rotor starts to spin)sigpic

can it be that the rotor hub is too far up on the main shaft?
And is this also why it "glides" backwards to the left (helps if I use the trim on the transmitter)
How do I adjust this, its almost impossible to adjust it with "eye measuring"Twister Bell MedEvac

i dont think you can get it wrong cos there are holes in the shafts and spacers on the gears( thats how it looks on my r22)???Originally posted by Mastee View Postcan it be that the rotor hub is too far up on the main shaft?

A feathering shaft or spindle is the shaft that runs through the headblock and connects the blade grips to the head - on larger helis.
Your heli doesn't have one.

aha so its like min inne main shaft and outer main shaft?Originally posted by heliward0 View Postbasicaly these are your feathering shafts-----
I have the helicopter in peaces in front of me right now, the look pretty streight. How bendt do they have to be before you can tell?
It did look like the gear wheel on the bottom at the inner main shaf was screwed on a bit crocked, might this be it?
Putting it back together now.
(I found the holes in the main shaft for the hub
thanks alot for that, bet it will fly better now
)
btw. the collar underneath the hub, where on the shaft is this supposed to be tightened? just resting on the main chassis?Twister Bell MedEvac

one thing to check is the flybar, it must be free to move on this heli, check the weights in the end are properly positioned, i had one of these, and one of the weights had moved, thus unbalancing the shaft. they are secured in place with plastic sleeves over brass weights which have a slot in them, to get them off, you push the shaft through the plastic sleeve, turn it through 90' and pill it back through, (its clear when you look at it, the plastic sleeve has an L shaped slot.)
check these out,
another one that i found, where the blades attach to the drive shafts and screw together, make sure this is not bent, wont appear broken, but again will cause a problem, usual sign is when you operate the heli, the blades dont track evenly
Good luck, they are great fun to flyRob
