I have a GL450 and my review of it will have to be mixed.

I got it 2nd hand but it was basically brand new. The first thing that happened to it with the first owner is that the ESC puffed, so I got it without an ESC and put a Castle Creations Phoenix on it.

Then on my first flight with it the elevator server failed and caused a crash.

After it was repaired the rotorhead didn't feel right and I still don't know exactly what the problem is but I replaced the original one with an Align 450 V1 head.

The original gyro (Gulang 700 or something like that) worked OK ish but tended to drift a bit so I replaced the gyro with a GY401 and am now testing an HK401B.

I never liked the stock plastic canopy so that has been changed.

So now it flies very well, and others may have better luck with the stock GL because it seems fairly well made, but it is now basically just like a Trex 450 V1. I like the case that came with it.

      Wouldnt bother with either tbh.

Take a look at the Blade400 which is RTF, or put a few extra ££ towards it and get a 450 Sport.

I had one and learnt to fly with it. It was very strong, the mainframes were stronger that the align 450V2 I had. I changed the Gyro to a GY401 and S9257. Flew just fine and can replace parts with Trex 450V1 parts directly when required.
