  • T REX600N Pro skids

I have a 600n Pro and I have put the 600E landing skids on because they are little wider, as I have just take off the chicken wings (training balls). the problem I have is that there is a lot of movement in the rear skid, when I land and as soon as the tail blades go near the ground I strip gears.
is there any skid that is wider and stronger that I can fit to help me with my landings?
Thanks for any help you can give

That one thing I forgot to say. I put a 700 fin on but because it is in a field and the ground is very soft, the fin just stick straght in. I was thinking about putting a small plate a cross the bottom of the fin to see if that works?

I use quick uk skids on my 700, they will fit a 600 too, slighty wider and taller and a lot stronger.

A few things you can do .

Stick you training legs back on but cut the length down. This will make for a stable landing platform, it also keeps the tail high and aids orientation. Almost everyone make the assumption that training legs are only for the first hops. Not so, make use of them properly untill confident in circuits as not only does it do all of the above but also improves dump-ability.

Option 2, Is to insert a wedge under the rear U/C strut as it only takes a small amount to lift the tail well up. Also you can reverse the U/C legs so they slope rearwards and move the skids almost fully back this ruduces the tendency to 'sit' on thev tail of the skids.

Fitting a longer fin is not as good an option as It initially seems. When the fin bottoms out, especially when spooling down it can easily cause a inadvertant Boom Strike.

                  hope that helps Brian
