my os46 has an issue and it doesnt mention it on their site.
Have reset both adjusters to factory setting.

Takes a bit to start.
Will idle ok and seems to pick up ok.
Running with blades off if i close throttle from fast idle it stops and wont restart as flooded.
Have played with both settings to try and solve.
Am using a fuel called Optimix 12

Need to get this up and running so i can pratice before getting a new bigger one.

Have you tried a new Glowplug?

New plug.
Tick over too high.
Low end needle too rich.
Needs de-coking (it's an old engine)
Needs new bearing(s)

put a new plug in os 8.
Engine seemed quite clean through exhaust port.
Will have another dable tomorrow once all charged.
Will try lower tick over

I can tell you my needle settings if you want, it may not run at the same settings but would give you an idea.

OK, I have not touched the mixture control valve, so I don't know what it is set at but the manual says the factory setting is 2 1/2 turns out.

My main needle is at 1 1/2 and 4 ticks.

Thanks for all the pointers. Now got an idle when reducing speed,just needs fine tuning now.
It was running to rich on the bottom end. i would guess that mixture screw is now about 1 1/2.

'Good to hear you got it running OK. If it was easier to check I'd see what my mixture is set on but the way it's set way down in there it would be easy to get it out of adjustment. I does seem that the manuals often prescribe a starting point that is on the rich side so I'm not surprised if it is less than what the manual says.
