  • Transmitter help.

I have a bell 47 and a venom FP (twister variant I think, same parts)
Looking to take hobbie further and I have just got myself a Futaba FF9 tranny.
Managed to set up no prob with bell but the venom twister will not even respond. nothing at all, changed crystalls double checked etc.
tried setting to PPM and PCM...
    Any ideas...
    Thanks

You could try reversing the throttle channel, certainly JR & Futaba use opposite throttle settings, for electric flight you always need to reverse the Futaba throttle channel, JR's default works fine.

Tried that, still no responce, works perfect in old tranny, then swap crystal to new ff9 then no signal at all on any servos.
But do exactly the same for bell and all ok?

        Just phoned model shop...
You cannot use any other tranny apart from one supplied!
Something to do with the walker helis????

some of the latest walkeras are pcm.
With pcm the tx and rx must be the same make as each manufacturer has their own pcm coding.
(though you would imagine walkera's PCM is a copy of one of the other manufacturersm - like their helis)

You must use futaba crystals with futaba tranny. Just like you must use JR crystals with JR trannies etc etc.

Get a futaba crystal prob solved....me thinks!

Cool, I did not know about crystals, just thought any would do as long as paired matched frequency....
Next question...what diffference between single and dual conversion?
