  • New in the forum and heli's

    Hello to everybody,
I'm new with heli's, i bought the phoenixx simulator.
    The question i would like to buy a t-rex 250, 450 or 500, i know is a big difference.
The question is how long (in hours or wich exercise is good to don't crash) you think i should train in the simulator before to buy the heli and don't broken it.
Do you think trex is a good option?
    Many thanks to everybody.

If you are really serious about it then the T-rex 500 fitted with training gear and heading hold gyro 'sympathetically' set up by someones used to teaching learners and NOT how the manual says to do it. Simulators are OK, again if set up by someone who knows what they are doing and which emulates the characteristics of the heli you are training to actually fly.

But before all this visit the nearest helicopter orientated flying club and have a chat with a view to joining etc and doing it all properly so you stand a very good chance of success.

      Hi and welcome.

Best advice is to find someone on this forum to meet up with at his Club. See what choppers are being used and then chat about helis for you.
Any time on a SIM is good time, and as above, the realism depends on how good you are at "tweaking" the SIM.
There is tons of advice and experience on this forum, and we have all been there before. So never be afraid to ask questions.
      Above all, ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum & hobby.

You will crash so it's only a question of how often & from what height!

I think the Trex 500 will be a good start, but join a club & buy a simulator to reduce the learning curve and learning costs (crashing)

            Enjoy.
