    Hi,
I have just joined this forum and have read the FAQ for the beginners.
The only previous experiance of fly helicopters is this:
Blade Runner Nano RC Helicopter >Urban Junkie Ltd
I obviously want to get something a bit better so i can learn in this hobbie properly.
I have been looking at this and am wondering if it would be a sutible heli for me:
Esky Honey Bee V2 (Green) 4CH FP RC Helicopter RTF 2.4GHz (002435) [ESKY-HELI-002435G] - GBP63.57 : Buy Align, ESky, Walkera, Skyartec RC Toys at RC-Fever.com.
I will have a budget of about £150 and want something that will not cost to much to repair when i enevitably crash it.
Any ideas that you have would be greatfully recieved.
    Thanks in advance
    Blade MCX
    Blade CX2
    Phoenix Simulator
    DX6i

    Hi and welcome aboard.

I have no experience of that heli but I'm sure someone will chime in with help soon.

the honey bee is very much like the belt cp and use a lot of same parts
the best advice i can give you is get the dx6i and phoenix sim bundle from skyline models then take a trip to your local club mate an seak their advice face to face
the sim will teach you a lot of what you need to know and save you a lot of money in the future

ps the heli in question is a bit crap mate

phoenix sim = most usefull tool owned

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum m8

To be honest with a budget of £150.00 you would be far better of looking out for a E Flite CX2 coaxial heli and possibly a copy of the Phoenix simulator.

If you went the used route you might even get both within that budget (Or at least close to it)
The HoneyBee is not an easy heli to fly Whereas the CX2 is a good first time beginners machine and has a Spektrum transmitter that works well with the Phoenix simulator.

                Hi Paul

If you want to fail then buy the Honey Bee, I know as I have seen a few people I have taught buy these then have to upgrade to actually get anywhere. If you want help and to see close up lots of helicopters both electric and glow then give me a call; I only live 15 minutes away from Beverley.

Thanks for all of the information guys.
Im thinking that a simulator will definatly be a good investment.
Were abouts can you get the CX2 with spektrum transmitter?

I agree with vrhc...my first heli was the honey bee 4ch FP...cant believe how much time and money I wasted trying to master that pile...I bit the bullet and my next 'proper' heli was a raptor 30 V2..which later I upgraded to a 50 V2 which I still fly. but that was me...
