Hi Graham,
The model you have there should be an RTF so on that side of things you shouldn't have to touch anything.

With regards to getting it working with a sim, has everything loaded up correctly on your pc? If it has it should be a simple case of plug and go, if not have you tried Century?

You may need to change the transmitter to normal mode instead of CCPM, as this will upset the FMS calibration settings.
