  • Frequency binding

I have recently purchased a 2.4 ghz 6ch receiver and transmitter.
    The battery is fully charged.
    The transmitter has new batteries.
I depress bind and turn on transmitter.
I then plug in battery. Light on transmitter is blinking red.
I plug the wire that will short, in the BAT position and the light goes out.
I press the bind button again.
    I remove the "short" wire.
Light starts blinking again and it makes a clicking sound. Transmiter seems not to be bound.

I am new to the game and am not sure if it is correct.

I use JR (Spectrums the same)
I bind my receivers before I use them (its good to know they will bind before you fit them)
Plug the bind plug into the "bind" terminal on the receiver
Plug in a 4.8v supply (receiver pack) into any of the other connections, the lights on the receiver will flash quickly
depress the bind button on the TX an then turn on.
within a few seconds the lights on the receiver should stop flashing and stay on
pull out bind plug and turn every thing off (remove battery from RX)
turn on radio, connect power to receiver (without bind plug) and receiver should be bound
    Good luck

Sounds like your turning the tx on first then the rx.
To bind it should be rx first with the bind plug in and tx second whilst holding the bind switch/button.
