  • MSR Pitching Forwards

    Hi All,

I recently got a Blade MSR and managed to pop the tail motor. So I've replaced the tail boom and rotor but now it's pitching forward hugely so much so that I am unable to trim it out.

Suggestions from the manual said the swashplate anti-rotation pin could have popped, but it doesn't appear to have.

Please can anyone help me with this, as I love flying it!

    Thanks!
    Graeme

Is the swashplate level in relation to the main shaft?

Have you got the new tail boom pusged fully into the frame.
There is a little hole on the side of the main frame that allows you to see if the boom is pushed all the way in

Bolders, he said the heli was pitching forward. If the boom wasn't all the way in it would shift the CofG to the rear causing it to pitch backwards.

My bet is that the swash has gone out of alignment in the knock that took out your tail boom. Mine always needs adjusting after a heavy hit.

good point - a case of engaging fingers before brain methinks

When you mention adjusting your swash are you refering to inserting the little red tool and squashing the swash together.

            Hi Guys,

Thanks for the responses. I think I've figured out that the problem was. The main gear (correct name) had dropped down the shaft allowing the whole thing to lift too much in flight. I've pushed it back up and it seems a lot more stable now.

Should it be pushed right up against the lower bearing?

            Thanks a lot!
