  • Trex450 Binding

How can one stop binding on the cyclic servos. I could hear buzzing sounds, not the same as the noise they make during travel, but a different sound and they are constantly making them when at full extent of travel. I removed the pushrods so that the servos had zero load and tested them that way to ensure it wasn't the frame causing case distortion. There wasn't the same sounds experienced when having the pushrods on.

The other thing I noticed is that the ESC seemed to get quite hot when moving the servos to the full extent with the pushrods on, when testing on the table the other night.

Would the solution be to adjust the swash mix or travel adjust?

Just retested after putting the arms on and realigning the arms so they weren't on an angle and they didn't sound as bad as before so I'm wondering if it could be just stiff ballheads. I've read that they are quite tight when new and can do with a bit of pushing on and off a few times to loosen them up. Not sure if a bit of silicon lube/spray would help lubricate the balls.

Stiff balls will not help matters, allegedly [], try remove the friction from the links and balls, lube or ream the links
