    Give it a miss m8

Start with a coaxial heli, or an mSR, or maybe get yourself the E Flite Blade SR, soon to be released in the UK Blade SR RTF Electric Micro Heli (EFLH1500): E-flite - Advancing Electric Flight

I taught myself on a V2 and later, bought a V3. They came onto the market around the time of the piccolo and were slightly easier to fly, but really tricky. If you could tame one, you would find a CP easy. However, they are no longer in production and spares are likely to be a bit scarce although I think Century UK still hold quite a few bits.

If you are a complete novice go with the advice given and get either a coaxial or the MSR.

I started with the MSR as a complete novice and got the basics pretty quickly. I decided to give the co-axial helis a miss as I wanted something that would be a bit of a challenge. Glad I did!
