Persil washing powder will probably work aswell. I've used washing powder to clean saucepans that I've burnt food onto before, works a treat. Thanks for reminding me. Shame I've only now got Persil Small and Mighty in the cupboard. Probably not worth buying a box of the Persil for the job as I could get a known metal cleaning product and be on the safe side. I guess one advantage of the Persil is that I could clean some clothes afterwards

Castor Stains. Simmer the pipe in an old pan of antifreeze for a few hours, outdoors BTW.

I also suspect boiling the pipe in oil will possibly give the same result as the high temp will disolve the Castor.

That's ok Peter. I've got my SC .32 out and was about to put the .37 in when I realised that my can of hex sockets is in my car and I'm not going out at this time of night. Need the sockets to remove the cooling fan and clutch. Decided to pipe up the fuel and muffler to check that it was drawing fuel and the first thing I noticed was that it wasn't (this is what mine didn't do). So I adjusted the mix to a rough default setting which I believe is about 1.5 to 2 clicks out from closed. Seemed to draw fine then.

Autosol is good but be carefull you don't polish the chrome platining off. Get some before and after pics as well.
                            Cheers Adam

Have a dremel equivalent with I think polishing wheels. However I thought this might be a bit abrasive.
