  • Destruction...........Esky

Well,I took delivery of My Esky Belt CP V2 on Christmas day, and now she lies in pieces.
Never been right from the moment I got her, would not trim at all, first crash took out the flybar mount.
Last flight bent everything., Just got her into the nearest thing possible to a hover, then all of a sudden the rotors somehow struck the tail boom bending it in half, main gear stripped, main shaft bent, blades totaled, you get the idea.

Anyhoo, to cheer my self up I went out and got a Blade MSR, what a difference, fly's perfectly straight from the box.
Having loads of fun, so fast for such a small size.

The plan is to rebuild the Esky with better components slowly and see if she will fly, the shop (Sussex model center) were not interested, apparently they have never herd of a belt cp, that won't trim/fly (yeah right), anyhoo, at least I have the MSR to practice on, till the Big Bird is fixed.

Well, I hope you get it sorted. I know n0thing about your heli but I'm sure you'll get some help from the site when you're ready for/need it.

Most of the Aligns, fair few Spektrum bits, bunch of Align & HiTec servos, OBE, VD & Bar.

To be honest buddy most Esky heli's are not that great... But have a think first as upgrading it to better stuff may cost a lot and have no real affect. And for price you pay you may be better of getting something like a Blade 400 or Trex 450 these heli's will help you more than the esky heli and cost less in the long run on parts.

Fix it, sell it and get a 450 - you may even get good money for the parts split (I did).
A trex 450 flies miles better then my old king 3 and I'm assuming the belt CP is of a similar build quality (esky) as there are a lot of shared components. Esky's prices for spares a expensive when you consider the build quality and if it's trashed it would be cheaper getting a complete barebone kit (no electronics).

Thanks Chaps, I did think of ditching the Esky completely, but I'm a stubborn sod, she will fly..............................even if it takes a while.

I hated my belt cp (v1), would not fly properly, crashed it once, ended up buying too many parts to get it in the air, gyro was rubbish. Sold the thing.

Got myself a Trex 450 se, was the best buy i've had to date. To save yourself from all the hassle, I'd thoroughly recommend an Align heli, one of the best in the business, top quality

Having said that you've made a wise choice getting the Blade MSR, there really good, i've had an MCX and they're top little helis too.

            Hope this helps mate.

had an esky honeybee king 2/ SOOOO many issues, spent so much on it too. sold it in the end and the only thing original left on it was the tail box. everything else had been upgraded to xtreme parts etc. It still flew poorly. Never worked right from the box.

Would not buy an esky agian.

To be honest I felt the same with my Honey bee FP until I got my blade 400 then I understood what everyone was saying and could not understand why I stuck with it so long. Trust give up on it and get a 400 or a 450

sounds as though the blades weren't tight enough in the grips. doesn't sound too be to be honest just the usual suspects that break in most crashes get it fixed and i'm sure you'll be in the air again
