  • Blade 400 of Trex 450

OK before you all lynch me as i am pretty much a noob
I have had the cx2 for a few weeks it's great! still doing the basics broke a few blades etc, still early days!
I intend to get Phoenix soon using my blade tx (Was told it will work)
I want to continue flying the CX to get more experience.
Now I have been looking and i know i am not ready by a mile to fly a cp yet but still like to window shop The blade 400 looks good for around £300 with DX6i
What else is out there? the trex 450, Ive seen chepo fleabay versions from hk that look fantastic trex copies! are they any good or is it buyer beware.

    Please help.

The option I choose was a dx6i with AR6200, just out of interest what would be the reason for spending c.£130 and then spending a futher £30 for a different reciever buddy.

I would go for a second hand DX6i as you will want to upgrade to a DX7 very soon.

...and im sure you could do a deal with most model shop if you wanted the cheaper rx.

Check out the for sale section. You can find a lot of second hand or even new stuff at a discounted price.

I have been trying to fly since april last year I have a blade 400 with dx6i which i use on my raptors, cx2 as well. At some point i will upgrade to a dx7 but not for a while yet as I have just hovered inverted. Get a blade 400 with the dx6i practice with that until you get a 50\600 size heli and even then you wont need the dx7 until you need the seventh channel until you need a gov.

Dx6i and a 450 sport. this will keep you going until you look toward 50 series nitro or electric. the ne wbatch of Trex 450's feel a lot more stable then the 400 sized blades or esky's. Dx6i will also run your Phoenix
              450 Sport * 2
              600LE on the way

Think some go the DX7se which has no training port but the higher frame rate which is good if you're really into stick banging

im picking the tx and rx up tomorow (hopefully) and i think thatll suit me for a while. Dont plan on getting a nitro for a veryy long time so wont need 7 channels IMO.

Well I bought a Trex450 Sport and had my Blade400 up for sale which I've just sold. Top little machine, great instructions from Align but possibly a bit hard for somebody who isn't techminded or have gone through rebuild/repair process with a RTF model.
