  • my mCX has direction "preference"

    hi

In an attempt to ask the most newb questions in the shortest amount of time, here's my latest

my new mCX (and it's always done this) has a preference for going to the right and backwards. I can trim some of this tendency out, but it goes left and forward at about half the alacrity it will go right and backwards.

any ideas why/what can be done about it?

    Hi m8
Just shorten the servo links by about one turn. That should do it

The servo links are the little rods that move up and down when you operate the right hand stick on your controller.

They have small ball links at each end of a threaded rod. These ball links can be carefully popped off the ball joint and screwed either further on or further off thus shortening or lengthening the overall length of the rod. By shortening these rods the heli should tend to fly more to the left and more forwards.

Be careful when you do this as the ball can snap of if your a little too heavy handed.

you were absolutely right - that ball will snap off if you give it too much (but it wouldn't detach with less) force won't it? time to break out the araldite...
