understood, I just don't have the magic screw as the cap of the alu head is attached with 2 screws and the plastic-headed inner shaft didn't come with a screw.

the plastic head has no retainer cap its just a pop fit for the flybar. otherwise you would be changing it after every crash!(the flybar just jumps out in a crash with the plastic head)

having ordered the parts I thought I needed to repair my cx2, only to find I'd bent the inner & outer shaft too, I've just received my order of a new inner & outer shaft. ordered a plastic inner, as there's nothing wrong with the alu head/hub of my old one, so I can just change the plastic head/hub for the alu one can't I? WRONG!

the damned plastic head is moulded to the shaft unlike the alu one, so now I have to order a bleedin' alu one at twice the cost and get hit for another postage charge. aaarrgh. I'll end nearly spending the price of a new heli on my first tranch of repairs at this rate.

oh and to add insult to injury they're out of stock at FL.

I know it's small beer compared to the repair costs for you lads with "proper" helis, but it's getting really tiresome. (and the wife's starting to notice all the deliveries ;-)

what's most annoying is I can't play with it until it's fixed.

Ditch the wife, more money for helis and spares

What are we like? My mcx is out of action too. I broke the ball joint trying to adjust the control rod length!
