  • Newbie with a Mini Pred V2 problem

    Hi to all!
I had been itching to get a Heli for years and finally had the cash to buy. I bought the Mini Pred as it was a bit of a bargain. The only problem is that the pitch servo doesn't respond to the hand transmitter, so the rotors spin up and there is no lift? Everything else seems fine. Any ideas from you lot, or is there a thread about this models wiring schematic? Any help will be very welcome.
    Cheers,
    Mike.

    Take a look at this:
    trex450 beginners setup
The geometry and features of the minipred is very similar to the original trex450. I think it is mechanical mixing rather than ccpm?
Anyway my guess is you don't have the tx setup right and the throttle and pitch curves are not set correctly.
The throttle and pitch channels are linked by settings in the tx so as collective pitch increases throttle also increases. its all explained in the above link.
There may, of course, be other expanations.

a word of warning - when messing with the setup take the main blades off. unintended startups can be costly and dangerous.
If you have a spare servo and an rx battery you can plug those in using the servo to show you what the throttle would be doing. some txs have an output indicator screen that show the servo positions moving on a screen on the tx screen.
