  • blade cx2 orange blinking light?

    hi

got my first heli yesterday so I know nothing!

it's a blade cx2 and the orange light on the 4 in 1 is blinking. the manual only mentions a blinking orange light during binding and I'm not doing that.

any idea what a blinking orange light means?

I'll try next time it does it. doesn't seem to be doing it now.

It'll have to wait as I had a spectacular crash today. stupidly I took it outside where I thought there was no breeze, but there obviously was. It shot straight up and went several hundred metres into a neighbouring field, then plummetted to the ground.

yes, I know, it's an indoor heli and the "read this first" thread said that would happen...

Hmm sorry to hear about the crash did it do much damage??? I was going to get a CX2 but thought it would be just to big for indoors, and then I would end up taking it outside and the wind taking it away
I think thats the trouble when they say indoors I think they mean indoor sports hall but people -including myself-think indoors living room and then soon discover how big a room you really need and temptation gets the better of them and outside they go!!

the blinking light will mean you need to bind make sure you switch on you transmiter before the heli

I agree with above, Turn on tx first then CX2, if you get a blinking light it either means the rx has browned out or you have turned off the CX2 and then back on without turning the tx off as well. If the throttle is at any level above min including the trim the rx will not arm.

need a new set of skids, battery cage and front/rear canopy/tail - about £30 of damage. ho hum.

Actually, I regret getting the CX2, I should have got the mCX. I have a big lounge (15'x28') which leads through an open double arch to a fairly large dining room and I think the CX2 is too big for that space really.

I just got carried away thinking "for another £30 I can get a much bigger heli"...
