Newbie Help - Aberdeen Area

Hi there,

I have just purchased a Raptor 30 from ebay but the guy said it was best to get it checked out before I start trying to fly it or better still learn to fly it.

Its only been started once but am not wanting to try and learn with it not trimmed right and worried that something might not be right when i fire the bad boy up.

Is there anyone in the Aberdeen Area that could take a look once I have received it and new year is past and settled again?

Hi Graig,

I got your email but I am now offshore until about the 8th Jan and can't get onto my hotmail. If your still available on my return that would be great .

I have looked at the helicopter before I left and it appears a few things need a major looking at. this includes, no glow plug (Ordered two), throttle servo not connected and carb seems to open the otherway to the manual, No power going to Rx which could be the battery or needs a new Rx (going to check battery on my return) and the last one being the Hitec 6 transmitter setup, I am feeling more and more out my depth by the day with this lol.

How do you set everything up!! more to this than meets the eye :P

Dont worry about it everyone finds it a bit daunting to start with but once someone has explained it to you it soon starts to make sense.

Do you know what kind of battery it is NiCad, Nimh or Lipo? Do you have a charger for it?

I'd maybe think of buying a few more glow plugs. Once we get it going sweet they will last for a bit but its not uncommon to burn a few while tweaking it.

I will be avaible whenever as i work onshore, just let me know when you're back.
