  • pheonix:)

Having had pheonix bought for me for xmas I have never been off it since! love it!! My observations are the trex 500 is great, the raptor 30 is spot on with the physics as I have one, the mini titan 325 is rock hard to fly as in real life(I HAVE ONE TOO).

The trex 450 pro is my fave 450 size on there, so far

I would now love a 500 size leccy and want a pro

So many models to play with! Are they life like in terms of performance? speaking from a mini titan and rappy view they are! If the trex 500 is spot on with the physics in real life then I am getting saving

    Can you tell im excited?!

You could easily get 10 people owning the same heli and they all fly differently
What Phoenix tries to do is create a happy medium - something that flies well.

        Glad you're liking it

The Raptor 50 3D flys how I would think my 50 se titan flys with -/+15 degrees pitch and a high head speed. Takes no prisoners.

The Raptor 50 3D flies very similar to my 50v2 with +11 & -10 running about 1900rpm... at least its close Thats what I find amazing with the 600, if its such a responsive animal in comparison in real life as it is in pheonix then I really wouldnt mind a go with one...

Thats what I have noticed on the trex 600 on the sim its great, feels like its got so much grunt and is so agile. Then I realise I have a raptor 30v2 for real and get practicing on that and get real And I think that feels very much the same, a bit weighty feel, but very stable, bit underpowered but not complaining
Maybe im being a bit wimpy with the amount of expo I have on the rappy for real, 30%, on al, el, and 20 on rudder. Might cut it down to 20 on next outing, im at figure of eight stage so maybe need to be a bit more responsive?.

                cheers

As a beginner I haven't ventured up to the Phoenix yet, does it simulate the topple-happy tendancies of single rotor helis? You can't tell from the demo version. The cheaper simulator I'm using doesn't do this, all the helis are as stable as co-axials but it's good for practicing stick movements, nose in orientation, etc.

I would say the raptor 30 which I have, flies 90% to that of the model on pheonix, very realistic, so yeah hard but you will get the hang of the sticks soon enough

its so much fun and valuable to save those pennies instead of crashing your rc model i really like the hughes 500 but wish the military version was on there lol

No doubt there'll be one available in time. I notice that if you have the right pictures you can submit them to their modelling department for a possible future release.
